ENQUEST

CYWEN organised a quiz for college students called ENQUEST on the 26th of September at the Centre for Environment Education. Around 30 teams of two each participated in the quiz. Major newspapers such as The Indian Express and The Asian Age covered the event. CYWEN intends to follow up this quiz with one for high school students in the coming months. These quizzes could become annual affairs for CYWEN.

PLANTATIONS IN LD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

LD College of Engineering, which is celebrating it's golden jubilee, and from where a considerable number of CYWEN members come from, recently saw CYWEN organising a plantation drive on it's campus. Around 200 students participated in the drive, which was flagged off by the principal, Prof. KJ Parmar. The drive was accompanied by slogan and painting competitions, in which students of the college partipated with great enthusiasm and vigour. CYWEN intends to replicate this event in other schools and colleges. The college has agreed to maintain the planted saplings, and CYWEN will provide assistance wherever necessary.
